Effective Literacy Website #5: Ereadingworksheets | R. Doculan

Source: Retrieved from https://www.ereadingworksheets.com/

Website: ereadingworksheets.com
E Reading Worksheets has to be on of my best-kept secrets. It is a humble website with easy navigation that includes a few high quality educational resources. E Reading Worksheets is my hole in the wall go-to resource for specific literacy skills. This website was created by Donzo Mortini who is a public school teacher. He works in collaboration with Donald Morton who is also a teacher instructing reading, language arts, and writing to students who need it the most. Morton uploads his resources into ereadingworksheets.com for teachers like Mortini and us to use for free.
The resources found on ereadingworksheets.com are all aligned to the Common Core standards and cover grade levels within the range of second to the tenth grade. E Reading Worksheets provides a wide variety of worksheets covering different literacy topics such as figurative language, text structure, and point of view. Within each topic, lessons are guided for ease of use and worksheets are categorized by grade level. In addition, every variation of each worksheet includes an answer sheet. Although the primary product of this website are worksheets, PowerPoint Presentations and interactive games can also be found within the website. Additionally, links to assessments are also included and provided.
E Reading Worksheets is a great resource for teachers to use to help promote literacy in the classroom. The PowerPoint Presentations and worksheets provided are high quality and rigorous. Each topic is easy to follow with links to all the resources neatly listed across the page. I have been using ereadingworksheets.com for quite some time now and have also shared the resource with my fellow colleagues. They all agree that it is a valuable and effective resource for teaching reading and literacy.
