Internet Tool Review #2 by Alison: Presenting... Prezi!

You may be asking yourself, “What is a Prezi?” Simply put, Prezi is an easy-to-use presentation software tool that helps users create engaging presentations with a number of beautifully designed templates. Prezi was launched in 2009 and there are currently over 100 million users all over the world. The founders created Prezi to help users deliver and present their thoughts in an organized way to influence their audiences and reach that “AHA!” moment sooner. For those who may not be as proficient with technology, there is a support forum available on the website, which allows you to ask questions, give feedback, read tips and tricks, discover new ideas, or read troubleshooting issues. In addition, there are also step-by-step articles and videos that help new users familiarize themselves with the many features of Prezi. Prezi is FREE and its cloud-based software allows users to work offline with the desktop app. Users also have the option of creating presentations from designer templates, uploading PowerPoint slides, or reusing other Prezi presentations that have been shared on the website.

Personally, I find Prezi to be a wonderful and convenient Internet tool. I actually created presentations using Prezi many years ago. Now, I noticed Prezi has made many additional upgrades and features since I’ve last used it. Their templates are much sleeker and appealing compared to before. I hope Prezi continues to thrive and improve over the years. The website itself has improved since I last accessed the website; it is organized, easy to navigate, and the information laid out is not too overwhelming. Prezi is not only useful for educators, but for many others who want to create eye-catching presentations. As mentioned earlier, there is a desktop app available, which allows you to work offline. There is also a free mobile app available for iOS and Android! With the mobile app, you can use your phone as a remote clicker to present on a big screen. Isn’t that awesome? Create a free account today and start exploring Prezi! You won’t regret it!
